The harvest

It's been a slow start, but the garden is beginning to produce. Today we brought home one each of our three varieties of zucchini, a couple of green tomatoes, a few peppers and the sunflowers, of course.

The pepper plants I bought were labelled as red bell peppers, but it was clear as they were growing that they were not ever going to puff out into a bell shape. I'm not sure what variety we have, but they are just about the hottest peppers I've ever tried to taste. Fortunately I know people who like them, the hotter the better.
